Lynwood Lightning became only the 2nd team to successfully defend the Presidents Cup when they beat Bird Squad FC 4-2 on penalties after a 0 - 0 game.

In sweltering heat both sides pushed for an opening goal but saw the crossbar deny them both.

On Thursday Lynwood can also add the 3rd division title to their trophy cabinet if they have a better result than Syntronic in the last round of league matches.

Bird Squad had a fine first season in the Ottawa Adult Soccer League. They have won 3rd place in Division 3 to add to their cup final appearance.
